Longing for that Autumn feeling (even though it's August)
Autumn is my favorite season no contest. October is my favorite month. It's also my birthday month. There's just something about that crisp fall air, smell of firesmoke, cider, and sweaters
The entertainment skews towards the magical. I'm using this hot and strage transitional month to plan, to take acting class, to be a professional pirate for a few days, No, really, and to do many many creative projects. I've slooooowly been sprinkling in Halloween decor room by room.
Maybe I'll watch You've got Mail later or something cozy.
My office is my place to do kitchy pink and bright colored not so spooky Halloween. I'm not even done messing with this gallery wall, but I'll share it as is now.
I've been darkening my rooms a bit, lighting fall scented candles I just hauled from Bath and Body Works, and watching cozier stuff. Well, aside from Vikings. and So much planning. I wanna make concrete pumpkin firepits and do some harder crafts.
Planning for our New York trip in October. I haven't been this excited about a trip in a long, long, time. It's been ages since I have been in NYC and my awesome British Husband Syd has traveled so much of the globe but has never been there!
So many bagels to eat. roads to walk, shows to see. . . I can't wait. We'll hit up Sleepy Hollow too. I'll share a lot about it on youtube and my travel blog too.
Making plans for Beetlejuice 2 and the Pumpkin Patch. . . and maybe a photoshoot or 2! I have photographer pals here who have asked. Maybe I'll update my old modeling port beause why not?!
I've started feeling creative flow creeping back in. From my intense scene study class with incredible master teacher and pal Lauren Letherer (At Actor's Space) who is really amazing at lovingly pushing all of us and I feel so vulnerable and edgy and it's gooey and messy and delicious to be in this class.
I've been dreaming of the theatre often literally in my dreams I'm working as an actress on stage often, and might have to do a play. I miss it so much. I'm mostly doing film in this wonky market and 2 of the films I'll be in are coming up fast!!
Sewing and embroidery have crept into my obsessions lately. It's just so calming. I've started baking a little on cooler summer days, and cooking dinners with sauces.
One of my many Embroidery projects this fall!
I'm makling boo baskets for my neices but doing them as more unique gifts this year since they are a bit older now while forgoing a gift card. I'll do that for Christmas. I love changing it up. They look forward to this every year.
I'm slowly figuring out how to monetize all of my gifts and creative stuff and shopping abilities. I really need to learn a shop my post format. . . It's a lot to learn and often makes my ADHD creative brain want to shut down. The tech part isn't my favorite!
Finishing up writing a comedy western I'm co-producing and acting in. . . Such a fun role playing a seasoned criminal. I get to ride horses and shoot! (prop guns don't worry)! I'm new to getting real funding so yet another learning curve for me. .
This is the first time in several years I'm sewing an elaborate Halloween costume. It's an elaborate period dress and I'm excited and nervous to push myself. It's of the Victorian Persuasian and my first time printing out a pattern digitally. Doing a cinematic theme. Here's the last period costume I sewed.
I did Claire from Outlander with a twist ( I used my Ancestral clan MacThomas' Tartan).
What are your big plans for fall?
